The world is so small, and I never fail to be amazed at how we are all connected. When this gorgeous red-head popped up into my “recommended” feed, I couldn’t NOT go stalk her profile (just a little bit, you guys!) and tell her how beautiful she was. Later that night I had a message from her in my inbox, telling me she was interested in me taking her senior pictures. I asked her for her mom’s email, and when I got it back, I was surprised to find it was the email of one of the builders my husband and his dad work for.
Turns out, Harlee’s dad was that very builder! I had had no idea all these years what his last name was, and Mike was SO excited when I told him about possibly working with them because he has always loved working with Harlee’s parents. It was a match made in heaven, right from the start.
Over the next couple of weeks, I met with Harlee and her mom Darci and we brainstormed so many fun ideas that would make her senior session unique. I was so excited when they told me about her grandmother’s vintage suitcases (she owns an antique store, how cool is that??) And I’m so glad we got to incorporate those into her photos, along with other things like her Polaroid camera, her love for books, and her stunning red hair!
Harlee, I told you this before but I’ll say it again- Thank you for allowing me the honor to capture you during your senior year, and for being such a dream client to work with! It’s always a pleasure to work with other creative individuals, and your energy and ideas made for such an effortless day. I know you will continue to do amazing things after high school, and I can’t wait to see!
