HI THERE!
I'm Makayla, and I'm a 5' nothing wife and mama who loves telling peoples' stories. I've been shooting for 13 years, (I know, I may look 12, but I promise I'm 28!), and ever since I was a little girl I knew photography was not only a passion or hobby but a calling. I absolutely adore working 1:1 with clients to capture intimate, raw, transparent moments of our humanness.
Recently, I built my very own backyard studio that has been an absolute dream and allowed me to provide an even more custom, intimate, inviting experience to all I work with.
In between sessions, you'll find me either out in my garden with dirt smeared on my face, getting my yoga or weight lifting on at the Village, cooking and hosting backyard dinner parties with friends and loved ones (quality time is my love language), crowd surfing or headbanging in a mosh pit to Hot Mulligan, or snuggling and watching a new anime with my kitties, hubby, and son in our little micro homestead in Boise. I'm a tiny yet passionate individual who can't help but be a little "extra" when I am excited about something- so it bodes well that I do what I LOVE for a living! My promise is that your session will capture the raw, real, intimate moments of your life, and you won't have to do anything but simply show up. I'm not just here to be your photographer, but to be a friend and love on you for a day. I won't just take your photo; we will create and capture memories of you and your life, tell your story in the most genuine, heartfelt way possible, and give you priceless moments you can bottle up and look back on forever and ever.
