what am i getting with the sitting fee?

The sitting fee is a non-refundable retainer that ensures your spot on my calendar for your initial in-person consultation, for your photo session date itself, and for our ordering session after that! This also accounts for the time I spend to scouting out locations, creating your shot list and mood board, taking your pictures, and the time I spend culling and editing afterwards. And for senior and boudoir sessions, professional hair and makeup is also included!

So are any pictures included in the sitting fee?

No physical or digital products are included in the sitting fee. I am a full service photographer, which means that from beginning to end I am by your side, ensuring that our contact does not end with me editing images and just throwing them to you through cyberspace. I believe the images from your session should be displayed and kept for years and years to come; therefore, I sit down with all my clients after their session and they'll pick out whichever images they want via print products and packages I have to offer.

WHAT happens during THE "IN-HOME GALLERY REVEAL?"

2 weeks after your photo session I will come over and sit down and show you a short highlight video of my favorite images from your session, then take you to your gallery to show you all your beautiful images! From here, the fun begins. I bring samples of the various products that I offer, so you can see what you're buying. This is your chance to pick your favorite images, make any notes on what you want the final edits to look like, and place your order!

what if i really want digital images too? do you offer that?

Absolutely! For each print ordered, I give  a matching web-sized digital image for online sharing. High resolution digital images with a print release are also available ala carte or in certain packages, so you can definitely have your images to share on social media and with family and friends!

So how much are your prints and packages?

Specific pricing for my prints and various packages will be discussed at our pre consultation.

Why do you sell prints? COULDN'T I JUST GET DIGITAL IMAGES and MAKE MY OWN COPIES AT A LOCAL PRINT SHOP FOR MUCH CHEAPER?

When ordering prints, you aren't just paying for the paper and what it costs me to order it, you're paying for the artwork on the paper. I spend hours before each session getting to know my clients and putting together a mood board/shot list, to ensure that each session is unique and best reflects the story  I am capturing. Because of this, each image is a priceless moment catered to YOU, that deserves to be displayed in the best way possible. While you could order digital images, I highly encourage ordering prints through me and my professional lab. It's less work for you, it's cheaper, and it guarantees that your images will look their absolute best and no quality will be lost (which happens in many cases at local print shops). Plus, many of the packages I offer include digital images anyways, so why not get the best of both worlds if you can?

I've had a lot of photographers in the past that just charge a price and give me digital images included in that. why don't you do that?

I believe that pictures are so much more than a smile and a good snapshot. The pictures I take are art- and YOU are the main piece! I know so many people that get digital images and they just sit on the computer for years and years. You and your loved ones deserve to be on a wall, proudly displayed, and made into a keepsake for generations to come. I love seeing my client's reactions at their gallery-reveal when they see their pictures for the first time, and I LOVE the friendships that develop between me and my clients because we get so close during the whole process.

Okay, you sound like the photographer for me! but what if i can't spend a ton of money right now? do you offer payment plans?

I most certainly do! I understand what it's like to want something but it's difficult to drop large amounts of money all at once. For orders exceeding $300, I ask for $300 down and then we can customize a payment plan (up to 6 months) that works best for you.
