Emily is easily one of the funniest seniors I’ve ever worked with.

She is sarcastic can memorize any movie and isn’t afraid to be goofy and have fun. When first meeting her at our consultation, she tried to warn me she was “awkward.” I didn’t believe her too much since EVERYONE tries to tell me they’re awkward, and instead listened to her mom when she said Emily was hilarious, kind-hearted, and hard-working.

Well surprise surprise, guess who was right and guess who was wrong? 😉 Despite what Emily might try to have you believe, she is not awkward, but instead a DREAM to have in front of the camera! Her shoot was full of her favorite things- sweaters, cardigans, beanies, and lots of burgundies, creams, and greys. We also incorporated her love for traveling near the end of her shoot by bringing her passport along, and I was blessed to have been able to witness her and her mom try to whip and nay nay together (much to Emily’s horror).

When looking at her photos, Emily’s beautiful momma was misty-eyed and overwhelmed at her baby girl’s beauty. Emily probably yelled “NOOO MOOOOOOM” at least 8 or 9 times throughout our time together because Leslie kept getting choked up at the idea of her daughter graduating and growing up. I thought it was beautiful and wonderful and loved every second of working with these two gorgeous women. Emily is just as kind-hearted as her momma said; when I asked Emily what she would do if she didn’t have to work and had all the money in the world, she said she’d want to buy her parents a beach house somewhere and travel with them as well. Can someone say AWWWHHH!! Her kind heart and sense of humor make Emily an absolute joy to be around and I consider it such a blessing to be her friend.

Thank you both so much for letting me capture this special time in your lives’; you are both so amazing and I can’t wait to see where life after high school takes you, Emily!
