While I thrive off of creating artsy, cinematic-inspired senior pictures, we went with a *slightly* different route with Anika’s senior session. We turned her into the main character of her favorite novel.
The moment I read about Anika’s love for writing, period pieces, Jane Austen, and vintage dresses, I knew the 1800s Victorian Bishops’ House in downtown Boise would be the perfect stage to create and capture this idea we had. With Anika’s vintage gown and favorite old books, it was as if we had stepped right into the pages of Little Women!
We shot on a perfect Boise October day and finished Anika’s senior photos at one of my favorite fall locations filled with the gorgeous colors of Autumn. I thrifted an old antique writing desk and chair just for this session, and they made the perfect compliment to Anika’s typewriter and those moody academia vibes we were going for.
Anika is a quiet and sweet soul, who was a little nervous about being in front of the camera but absolutely came out of her shell for this session! When her mom shared some of her childhood photos, I couldn’t believe how many images we got that were almost exact recreations (totally an accident, too). It was really special to be able to take Anika’s personality and let it shine through this last session of hers before she graduated high school.
