This was Mahala’s senior quote and has been her life motto, and I can’t think of anything more fitting to sum her and her spirit up. Her mom was one of my P.E. and fitness teachers in high school and was a huge inspiration to me, so you can imagine by delight when Mahala reached out about me doing her senior pictures. She is so much like her mother- fierce, strong, a fighter, yet caring and soft-hearted and so humble. She loves pizza and chocolate covered strawberries, loves worship and Justin Bieber, loves the outdoors and impacting people for Christ, wants to be a peacemaker and always stand in the gap for those who need it. All around, she is just SO much fun to be around!
Naturally, I loved getting to know Mahala better through her senior session. She is not only an amazing volleyball player, but she has a heart for loving people and for spreading the love of Jesus wherever she goes. I knew for her session we needed to only get the best of the best to show off her love for the mountains, for her talents, and for her Creator. We had to reschedule a couple of times because of weather, but man, am I so glad we did. We could not have had a more perfect day to go up to the mountains and spend time basking in the sun and snow.
Mahala, I know I’ve said this over and over again, but I love you so much! I am so excited for you to go off to ISU and play volleyball and continue to influence those around you. I know God will continue to guide you and bless you because of your servant’s heart and hard-working spirit. I look forward to watching how you grow and where God takes you in the next few years! Thank you to you and your parents for such a fun and incredible experience, I’m so glad I got to be a part of your senior year.
