Something about the long shadows of the summer sunset coupled with the soft swaying of the heads of wheat in the breeze; it’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch. For the past couple of years I’d been dying to get out and shoot in a wheat field, but I was always too slow! So when I saw the tractors out and about in Boise beginning to harvest the fields, yet the huge one by our house still remained untouched, I took that as a sign and jumped on the chance to create some work for myself.
So although Sabrina was a senior of mine last fall, I was so happy that she was down to put on a beautiful floral dress and come hang out with me for the evening! It felt so good to flex my creative muscles and of course, I always love spending time with this beauty.
Fall photos with the pretty leaves are always gorgeous, but I love the different spots Boise has to offer to shoot in in the summer. So a note to current juniors out there- don’t think that summer senior pictures can’t happen! It’s one of my favorite times to shoot and I hope I have more seniors next year who will be down to shoot in some wheat fields like this one.
