I’m a good photographer; heck, I’d venture to say I’m a REALLY good photographer. I’m outgoing, kind of funny (I consider myself more ‘quirky’ then funny but hey, I’m just repeating what I hear), I know my camera almost better than I know myself, I’ve studied light and have a natural eye and I can capture real, authentic moments, and they are beautiful. But I’ll be transparent with anyone who talks to me about a session- if what you’re looking for is a nice photographer who can take some really good pictures, I’ll let you know that you could probably find someone like me, someone who might be BETTER than me even, for cheaper. That’s the truth!
However, if what you’re looking for is a photographer who goes the extra mile, who takes time to sit down and meet with you before your session to get to know you and your story, who works on a shot list and a mood board that is catered for YOU, and who will be here every step of the way to help you order beautiful, physical products that can be hung in your wall or passed down in an album for generations to come- then you’ve come to the right place. Don’t get me wrong, I love our digital world and social media, and being able to share all our special moments online with friends and family. But when it comes down to it, I’m “old fashioned” and traditional at heart. I never hopped on that Kindle bandwagon, I think there’s no better sound than a needle on a vinyl, and I truly believe that a picture should not be stuck on a computer screen, but developed and put on paper like they were originally intended for. Something that can be displayed on a wall, or on an office desk, or on a coffee table in a beautifully bound album that tells a story- your story.
So, when it comes to photography, it really all boils down to you and what you want. Sure, I’m important, but there are thousands of people like me and only one of you. So you have to ask yourself- what do I want? What do I value? I understand not all clients will have a clear idea, at least not right away. But look around your home- do you want images on your walls, but have never found the time to get them printed? Have you been meaning to get that wedding album created but life has gotten in the way and you’ve been “too busy?” Are you ready for a one-stop-shop photography experience instead of a DIY one? If the answer to these is “yes”, and you love my work, then I think we’d make a great fit, and I’d love to meet you and give you a one-of-a-kind experience that you’ll never regret.
